    Candidates may enrol in the master study program Nutrition who have completed:

    a) the level one university study program Animal Science and Nutrition or comparable level one study program at faculties in Slovenia or abroad;

    b) a level one study program in other fields of faculties from Slovenia and abroad, if they additionally gain 30 credit points from the group of subjects of the level one university study program Animal Science and Nutrition; these obligations are determined in relation to the difference of the professional field and are decided for each student individually by the competent study commission; the candidate must complete these additional examinations prior to enrolment in master studies:

    • graduates of comparable study programs in the field of life sciences (e.g., graduates of the Biotechnical Faculty) take subjects from the group of compulsory professional subjects: Basics of Nutrition; Clinical Dietetics and the Epidemiology of Nutrition, Food Hygiene, Nutritional Microbiology, Food Quality and Legislation, Organisation and Operation of Food Plants, Physiology of Renewal I,
    • graduates of study programs with a comparable extent of basic subjects (mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, biochemistry) take subjects from the group of compulsory professional subjects: Basics of Nutrition; Clinical Dietetics and the Epidemiology of Nutrition, Food Hygiene, Nutritional Microbiology, Food Quality and Legislation, Organisation and Operation of Food Plants, Physiology of Renewal I and
    • additional obligations are determined for graduates of all other fields of study that do not have a comparable extent of basic and professional subjects from the group of compulsory basic and compulsory professional subjects;

    c) a college professional study program in the field of animal science and nutrition under previous or new programs at faculties in Slovenia or abroad;

    d) a level one college study program or previous college professional study program in other fields of faculties from Slovenia and abroad, if they additionally gain 10-60 credit points from the group of subjects of the level one university study program Animal Science and Nutrition; these obligations are determined in relation to the difference of the professional field and are decided for each student individually by the competent study commission; the candidate must complete these additional examinations prior to enrolment in master studies:

    • graduates of study programs in the field of life sciences (e.g., graduates of the Biotechnical Faculty) take subjects from the group of compulsory professional subjects (Basics of Nutrition; Clinical Dietetics and the Epidemiology of Nutrition, Food Hygiene, Nutritional Microbiology, Food Quality and Legislation, Organisation and Operation of Food Processing Plants, Physiology of Renewal I) to an extent up to 30 credit points,
    • graduates of study programs with a comparable extent of basic subjects (mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, biochemistry) take subjects from the group of compulsory professional subjects (Basics of Nutrition; Clinical Dietetics and the Epidemiology of Nutrition, Food Hygiene, Nutritional Microbiology, Food Quality and Legislation, Organisation and Operation of Food Processing Plants, Physiology of Renewal I) to an extent up to 40 credit points and
    • additional obligations of 60 credit points are determined for graduates of all other fields of study that do not have a comparable extent of basic and professional subjects from the group of compulsory basic and compulsory professional subjects.

      

    If a decision on limited enrolment is adopted:

    • candidates referred to in points a) and c) will be selected on the basis of the average grade achieved during the first cycle of studies,
    • candidates referred to in points b) and d) will be selected on the basis of the average grade achieved during the first cycle of studies, and the average grade of the exams appointed to them as a condition for enrolment in the master studies.

     Each of these average grades counts as 50% of the candidate’s final mark.

     If several candidates referred to in the previous paragraph achieve equal final mark, preference will be given to those with a higher average grade achieved during the first cycle of studies.
