Successful Completion of the Online Course “Peer Review in the Era of Open and Reproducible Science”

From 10 to 28 November 2025, the online course “Peer Review in the Era of Open and Reproducible Science: New Challenges and Opportunities” took place, bringing together the Ukrainian academic community and international experts committed to strengthening the quality, transparency, and integrity of scholarly communication. The programme was organised by the Open4UA Project Consortium, the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Reproducibility Network (UARN). The course was hosted by the University of Ljubljana.

Strengthening competencies for modern research

Over the course of three weeks, hundreds of researchers, peer reviewers, and journal editors participated in lectures and practical sessions focusing on conducting rigorous and constructive peer review and applying principles of open and reproducible science. Participants gained essential tools for identifying challenges in the research process, understanding standards of research integrity, and contributing to greater trust in scientific communication.
