Content (Syllabus outline)

  • development and trends in the field of computer systems and technologies,
  • business and production information systems: the difference and integration between the integral software solutions (ERP systems) and production information systems (MES systems), specialized software to support the production process (planning, implementation and monitoring),
  • computer tools for: supply chain management (SCM), customer relationship management (CRM), management of the development process (PLM), management of the warehouse operations (WMS systems), etc.
  • specialized information technology (ICT) to support the production process: for the production and distribution of information,  for production and stocks monitoring, for the computerization of the logistical processes, provision of mobility; computer networks and services for production,
  • technology and approaches for tracking, collection and archiving of data/documents: barcode, microchips (RFID), electronic imaging (OCR), hierarchical data storage, media for archiving and their characteristics.
  • modern computer and information services for the business world (e-commerce and Internet services),
  • security and protection in computer systems.
