Plant pathology and defence reactions. Virulence and resistance and genetic basis. Important plant pathogens. Parasites, endophytes and symbionts. Diversity of symbiostic interactions and physiological consequences. Plant endophytes. Interactions of edible plants with microorganisms and their importance for plant biotechnology.
