8th Simčič Symposium: Alcohol under the microscope
When: 4 September at 16.00
Location: Prof. Dr. Janez Hribar Hall, Dean's Office of the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana
Venue: Biotechnical Faculty, 101 Jamnikarjeva Street, Ljubljana

Active students of the final year of the BF Master's degree programme NutritionResearch in the new window are organising the now traditional 8th Simčič Symposium again this year.
The main theme of this year's event will be "Alcohol under the microscope". This year's symposium will shed light on alcohol from different angles - as a food, as part of diet, as a cultural and social phenomenon, and as a challenge in public health and legislation. In a series of short lectures, experts and students will address alcohol from a food-technological, energy-nutrition, metabolic-physiological, psychological, social, legislative and public health perspective, and highlight the specificities of alcohol consumption in young people. The event will also include presentations of current MSc theses and a final interactive quiz.
The event is aimed at students, nutritionists, health professionals, food technologists and anyone interested in the links between alcohol and modern society.
A varied and interesting programme of 4 hours awaits you.
