Dear Sir or Madam,
We invite you to join us and participate in the Science Cafe event What's in Our Glasses, which will take place on Wednesday, 10 September, at 5 pm in the University Room of the Rog Centre (Trubarjeva 72).
The event is free of charge and will be held in Slovenian, but to facilitate the organisation, we kindly ask you to fill in the registration form by Tuesday 9 September. The Science Cafe event aims to find out what affects water quality and how consumers themselves can influence higher water quality in their living environments. We will specifically address the issue of microplastics, the impact of water quality on human health and how science can work together with the interested public in the management of drinking water. We would like to raise the following topics: - Factors affecting water quality and its control, - the presence and impact of microplastics and residual pollutants, - the importance of drinking water for human health, - the opportunities for closer cooperation between scientists, decision-makers and the public in the sustainable management of water resources, - and the role of the individual in improving water quality in the local environment.
