The Biotechnical Faculty at the University of Ljubljana is delighted to welcome the new generation of students who will start their studies in October.

On Wednesday, 1 October 2025, we will hold a reception for first-year students in the Prof. Dr. Janez Hribar Hall, where they will be addressed by the Faculty management, representatives of the International Cooperation Service, the Career Centre, the Department of Physical Education, the Student Council and the Students' Organisation.

The event will take place according to the following schedule:

9.00: students of agronomy, zootechnics, forestry, landscape architecture, forestry and higher vocational programmes in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, forestry and forestry engineering,

at 10:00: students of biology, biotechnology, microbiology and food and nutrition.

After the official part of the event, there will be a meeting at the individual departments and programme headquarters, where newcomers will receive all the key information they need to start their studies successfully.

The reception of new students is always a special moment for our faculty - an opportunity to open the door to the world of science, exploration and new experiences. We wish all the new graduates a brave, curious and creative journey, full of new knowledge and friendships.
