Dairy farming today is at a crossroads between tradition and innovative approaches. Globally, it is facing challenges such as climate change, pressure for sustainable use of natural resources and changes in consumption habits. Customers are increasingly looking for sustainable, local and health-friendly products, while production and processing are looking for ways to increase efficiency, reduce their carbon footprint and modernise technology.
The symposium, organised by the Department of Zootechnics of the Faculty of Biotechnics, will highlight current trends and opportunities in the dairy chain and present research trends in biotechnology, digitalisation, precision agriculture and the circular economy.
