Dear students!
Choosing a course of study begins with exploring your interests, personality traits, and potential, and continues with gathering information about the content of study programs.
For those of you who are interested in life sciences, natural resource management, production and processing technologies, and nature conservation, we are the right choice for you! We have prepared presentations of higher education professional and university study programs offered at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. The teaching process takes place at various locations on the campus below Rožnik and Rodica near Domžale, while field and practical work also takes place at other locations throughout Slovenia.
At the Information Days, which this year will take place on Friday and Saturday (February 13 at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and February 14 at 10:00 a.m.), faculty staff will welcome you and present the study programs, enrollment requirements, and how the studies are conducted. Students will present extracurricular activities and give you a tour of the faculty.
We invite you to join us at this year's Information Days, which will take place at all departments of the faculty, and get to know us in person.
Information days for high school students who are candidates for studies at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana will take place:
on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
WHERE are presentations?
At the Dean's Office (Jamnikarjeva 101, Ljubljana), there will be a presentation for the study program:university study program MICROBIOLOGY.
At the Department of Agronomy BF UL (Jamnikarjeva 101, Ljubljana), there will be presentations for the study programs:university study program BIOTECHNOLOGY, university study program AGRICULTURE – AGRONOMY, higher education professional study program AGRICULTURE – AGRONOMY AND HORTICULTURE
At the Department of Biology, Faculty of Biology, University of Ljubljana (Večna pot 111, Ljubljana), there will be a presentation for the study program:University study program BIOLOGY
At the location of the Department of Forestry and Renewable Forest Resources BF UL (Večna pot 83, Ljubljana), presentations will be held for the following study programs: university study program FORESTRY AND RENEWABLE FOREST RESOURCES, higher education professional study program FORESTRY.
At the Department of Landscape Architecture BF UL (Jamnikarjeva 101, Ljubljana), there will be a presentation for the study program: university study program LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE.
Presentations for the following study programs will be held at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Ljubljana (Rožna dolina, Cesta VIII/34, Ljubljana): university study program FORESTRY, higher education professional study program FORESTRY ENGINEERING
At the Department of Animal Science, (Groblje 3, Domžale), presentations will be held for the following study programs: university study program AGRICULTURE – ANIMAL SCIENCE higher education professional study program AGRICULTURE – LIVESTOCK FARMING
At the location of the Department of Food Science BF UL (Jamnikarjeva 101, Ljubljana), there will be a presentation for the study program: university study program FOOD AND NUTRITION.
In the 2026/2027 academic year, the Biotechnical Faculty at the University of Ljubljana will continue to offer nine university and four higher education professional study programs at the first level.
