PREPARATION OF THE RESEARCH DATA MANAGEMENT PLAN (RDMP) AND PUBLICATION OF RESEARCH DATA IN THE REPOSITORY

Who is the workshop intended for?

The workshop is intended for researchers, especially those who are preparing or implementing projects that require the preparation of an NRRP. Participation is also open to doctoral students and other interested parties.

Content: The workshop will present the importance and practical aspects of preparing research data management plans (RDMPs), which are required by an increasing number of research funders, including the Public Agency for Science, Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia (ARIS). The RDP is a key part of the research process, as it ensures transparent and planned data management, long-term storage, and accessibility in accordance with FAIR principles.

We will review the form for preparing the NRRP for ARIS projects and discuss the content that needs to be entered in each field step by step. The emphasis will be on understanding the requirements and completing the form correctly. The procedure for submitting research data to the University of Ljubljana Repository and the requirements for preparing data for publication will also be presented, including the preparation of a readme file and its importance for the comprehensibility and reuse of research data.
