BF CAREER DAYS 2026 – PRE-WORKSHOP: Join the Living Library: Get a Firsthand Look at Different Careers!

At the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana, as part of the BioFair career fair, we are once again organizing the Living Library pre-workshop this year, designed for students of natural sciences. The event offers a relaxed and interactive networking experience where participants, over coffee and snacks, gain direct insight into various professions and the daily routines of employees in specific roles.

What is the Living Library?
It is a unique workshop where the “books” are employees from various companies. Through their personal experiences, they present their career paths, daily work, challenges, and necessary competencies. The event is not focused on traditional company presentations, but rather on an honest and direct conversation about specific work, which gives students a more realistic picture of the professions and helps them plan their careers.

Event Schedule
Each participant will briefly introduce themselves, followed by informal discussions with students, who can ask questions about the work, projects, work environment, and the necessary knowledge and skills. Special emphasis will be placed on presentations by employees who began their careers as students and subsequently transitioned into full-time employment.

When? Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
