Roundtable Discussion: Law and Environmental Protection

On Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., a roundtable discussion on environmental issues will take place in the Red Lecture Hall of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law. The event is organized by Lexia, the student association of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law, and the Eco Reading Circle of the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty  with the support of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law. At the roundtable, we will discuss legal and legislative frameworks as well as possible future solutions.


Our guests will include:
- Assoc. Prof. Maša Kovič Dine, Ph.D., associate professor at the Department of International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana;
- Prof. Tom Nagel, Ph.D., associate professor at the Department of Forestry and Renewable Forest Resources, BF, University of Ljubljana;
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Igor Zelnik, associate professor at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection at the BF, University of Ljubljana;
- Prof. Tjaša Pogačar, associate professor at the Department of Agrometeorology, Agricultural Land Management, and Rural Economics and Development at the BF, University of Ljubljana;
- Aljoša Petek, M.A., Head of the Environmental Protection Division and Director of the Legal Center for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment; and
- Dr. Jonas Sonnenschein, Deputy Director and Project Manager at Umanotera.
