VII. Doctoral Day in Bi(o)sciences?

Biotechnical Faculty at the University of Ljubljana will host the 7th Doctoral Day in Bio(sciences)?, a traditional event aimed at bringing together doctoral students in the Biosciences program and young researchers.

This year’s event will once again combine research, personal stories, networking, and reflection on the future of young researchers after their doctorate.

The central part of the program will be the roundtable discussion “From Doctorate to a Successful Career: Roundtable with Biosciences Alumni,” where alumni of the Biosciences program will speak candidly about their career paths, successes, challenges, setbacks, and experiences with research, entrepreneurship, career building, and establishing themselves in society.

The second part of the event will be dedicated to a discussion about emotions and the individual’s inner world. The guest of the evening, Dr. Sanela Peresciutti, will open up a space for reflection on the importance of emotions, inner balance, and self-understanding in her lecture “Let’s Talk About Emotions: Don’t Run Away from Them—Discover What They Want to Tell You,” open a space for reflection on the importance of emotions, inner balance, and self-understanding, even in a demanding academic and research environment.

The event will also feature presentations of doctoral students’ posters in the “Poster Section,” and the evening will conclude with socializing and networking over refreshments and a musical performance by the band 2Brothers & The Others.
