Content (Syllabus outline)

Lectures:

  • Basic professional terminology.
  • Main techniques used for studying human anatomy.
  • Anatomical orientations and planes.
  • Basic tissue types.
  • Structural organization of the body.
  • Organic systems (integumentary system, vascular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, nervous system, endocrine system, sensory, digestive,  secretory, reproductive system).

 

Laboratory practice:

  • Osteology (skeletal organic system, basic structure of the bones, ossification, dentition).
  • Myology (muscular organic system, basic muscle structure, muscle function).
  • Arthrology (joint types, joint movement types)
  • Selected topics from other organic systems.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites for inclusion in the work:

  • inscription to the first academic year of the BSc Biology study.

 

Prerequisites for performing study obligations:

Practical examination (colloquium):

· presence at practicals.
