Content (Syllabus outline)
Basic characteristics of animals;
fundamental evoultionary principles; evolution and animal biodiversity; animal systematics; main organic systems in animals (integument, skeleton, musculary systems, nutrtion and digestion,gass exchange, circulatory system, osmoregulation and excretion, sense organs, nervous system, endocrine and reproductive systems); reproduction and heredity; ontogenetic development; basic principles in ecology
Practical work is related to lectures and based on observations of morphology and anatomy of basic animal groups and reproductive and developmental startegies in invertebrates.
