Content (Syllabus outline)

Definition of art object, criteria of artistic value, institutionalization of art, introduction into the art theory; basic characteristics of the expanded field of fine (visual) arts, which includes architecture, sculpture, painting, photography, video art, installation art – phenomenologically and in the cultural history context; historical overview of different methodological approaches as basic tool to estimate and interprete art works (formal analysis, iconography, psychoanalysis, feminism, social history, semiotics, post structuralism): critical encounter with contemporary art.
