Content (Syllabus outline)

Matrices and introduction to mathematical programming:  determinants, matrix algebra, multiplication of matrices, matrix equations, rank of a matrix, system of linear equations, linear programming, network problems

Functions of one real variable: functions and their graphs, linear, quadratic, powers, roots, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic functions, sketching the graphs of functions and their interpretation, exponential and logarithmic equations, law of natural growth, method of least squares

Sequences and introduction to finance: characteristics of sequences, calculation of limits, arithmetic progressions, geometric progressions, simple interest, compound interest, annuities, present value of annuity.

- Inscription to adequate academic year

- Attendance at tutorials
- Fulfilled obligations from lectures and tutorials
