Content (Syllabus outline)
- Management - development of theory and practice of management, the role of the manager, components of management process (planning, enforcement, controlling), strategic and operational planning, decision-making and use of financial statements, the modern managerial approaches and tools, business communication)
- Impact of globalization and the development of the information society on the management
- Organizational culture/climate of a company (value system, change management, the basics of leading employees and human resources management)
- Quality management (tendencies, contemporary approaches, total quality management - TQM)
- Basics of entrepreneurship and innovation process (entrepreneurship as a paradigm of the modern business environment, the process of entrepreneurship; promoters and performance indicators of the innovation process)
- Basics of microeconomics (economic process, theory of costs, theory of production, calculating costs, indicators of business success, basic financial statements, evaluation of long-term investments in business process)
