Science Slam: The Planet’s (Algo)rhythm


The Science Slam: The Planet’s (Algo)rhythm, held on March 26, 2026, at Kino Šiška, was the closing event of the Food for the Brain Festival, which brought together digitalization and sustainability through five-minute presentations by nine researchers. Organized by the University of Ljubljana and Science on the Street, the event explored the convergence of a digital and sustainable future in the fields of mobility, energy, and agronomy. 


The winner of the science slam is Amina Gačo Jež, a doctoral student at the University of Ljubljana’s Biotechnical Faculty. 
Of the nine researchers in total, three speakers were from our own Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Ljubljana. In addition to the winner, Amina, there were also Dr. Ana Slatnar and Dr. Majda Černič Istenič.
