Students will learn theoretically and practically:
- basic techniques of microbiological work
- safety techniques in practical microbiological work
- different microscopy techniques
- preparation and staining of microbiological specimens
- aseptic techniques
- principles of good laboratory practice
- work without and within safety hoods
- preparation of microbiological media
- aerobic and anaerobic cultivation techniques
- basic identification techniques for microorganisms
- basics of microbiological safety
Prerequisites
a/ inscription to the 1st year of study programme Microbiology, BSc
b/prerequisites for admittance to the final exam is
positive score from practical examination (colloquium)
