ICMBV

The Infrastructure Center for Microscopy of Biological Samples (IC MBV) operates at the Biotechnical Faculty and includes equipment at the Department of Biology (DB), Department of Microbiology (DM) and Department of Wood science and technology (DW).

The centre is intended for:

• Supporting research in the field of visualizing biological objects,
• Training personnel for work in the field of microscopy,
• Collaborating with related centers and potential users from other research areas,
• Developing microscopy in Slovenia with an emphasis on specific methods for preparing diverse biological samples.

The infrastructure center is part of the infrastructure centers of the Biotechnical Faculty within the framework of the Research Infrastructure Center Network of the University of Ljubljana (MRIC UL). It is available to researchers, educators, students, and external users.

Microscope reservations
To reserve microscopes, contact the caretakers. You can use the online calendar for reservation, but it is also necessary to check the physical calendar at the microscope.
