Landscape Architecture

Project number V5-2135, price category B, is co-financed in the total amount of EUR 200,000.00, of which EUR 100,000.00 from the Public Research Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, EUR 80,000.00 from the Ministry of the Environment and space, in the amount of EUR 10,000.00 from the funds of the Ministry of Culture and in the amount of EUR 10,000.00 from the funds of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food. The project is co-financed for a period of 36 months.


Abstract

The purpose of this project is to prepare  an up-to-date and methodologically modern professional basis for the landscape needed to implement landscape policy through the integration of landscape policies and spatial acts at regional and local level and for assessing the impact of plans, programmes and projects on the landscape. The results of the project will be: Methodology of substantive upgrade of Regionalisation of landscape types and exceptional landscapes with implementing protocols and data sources, Updated regionalisation of landscape types of Slovenia with defined quality objectives of landscapes, Updated set of exceptional landscapes and areas of national landscape identity, Proposal for measures to prevent unwanted changes in the future and guidance for protection and development within the framework of key public policy instruments in the field of protection, landscape management and planning, Criteria for the identification of exceptional landscapes and identity areas at regional and local level, Classification and capture of the landscape features in areas of exceptional landscapes. Spatial data layers in vector format will be suitable for inclusion in the spatial information system.
