Sociological approaches to socio-spatial and environmental processes. The role of sociology in landscape and urban planning; issues of the legality and legitimacy of interventions into space and the environment  (social impact studies); the development of new information and communication technologies and their impact  on the social restructuring of space and built structures; social conflicts in space. The concept of nature and landscape in sociological literature.  The characteristics of settlement in Slovenia and their sociological consequences. (Non-)sustainable development models around the world and in Slovenia
