- Importance of precision nutrition for health, production, efficient, sustainable and economical animal production,
- Modelling of nutrient requirements for different domestic animal species and categories according to the production levels and recommendations,
- Formulation of compound feeds and rations using Pearson's square modified Pearson's square and other mathematical models,
- Optimization of mixed feeds and rations using linear programming (e.g. Excel Solver, EvaPig),
- Ration formulation using selected freely available computer tools (e.g. Excel, Kokra, Kopit, NRC, Feed Calculator),
- Disadvantages of the methods to optimize feed mixtures and rations,
- Introduction of new techniques in precision nutrition in the ambient of smart farming,
- Project work – analysis and preparation of rations and feed mixtures on selected farms for different domestic animal species and categories, evaluation of the efficiency of proposed feed mixtures and rations.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge (passed exams) on the areas of principles and physiology of domestic animal nutrition, feeds and feed preservation, and special animal nutrition.
