UL-ID is the digital identity of students at the University of Ljubljana. It is included in the ArnesAAI federation. The standard format of the UL-ID is username@student.uni-lj.si (example: ab12345@student.uni-lj.si).
Every University of Ljubljana student is provided with their own digital identity. You can obtain or activate your digital identity on the External link to ID portal Open in new window. It consists of a username generated automatically by the system and a personal password created by the student. To activate the identity, you must enter a combination of basic personal information and your university enrolment number. Newly enrolled students can activate their UL-ID starting on 1 October.
Students who receive their UL-ID and password directly from their faculty or academy student office do not need to complete this activation process.

You need the UL-ID to access:
- the Student Information System (External link to VIS Open in new window) – (exam registration, grade overview, timetables)
- the External link to Moodle Open in new window online classroom
- the Eudoram wireless network
- services provided to students by the University of Ljubljana
