The Eduroam service provides users with secure and simple access to the (wireless) network of their home institution, as well as roaming in the networks of other institutions included in the Eduroam system. This means that a user from an organisation in Ljubljana can seamlessly and freely access the secure Eduroam network in Maribor or Koper (or any Eduroam network abroad) using the same username and password as in their “home” Eduroam network.
These networks are part of the international Eduroam roaming system, allowing Slovenian users to access networks of educational and research institutions worldwide.

We recommend using the Eduroam CAT online configuration tool. When downloading the installation file, select:
- Home organisation: Univerza v Ljubljani
- User group: Študenti Univerze v Ljubljani
- Login details for the Eduroam network – your student digital identity obtained via the ID portal:Username: ab1234@student.uni-lj.si
- Password: your password
Within the same area, it is also possible to use the BF-GUEST network, for which the password changes weekly. This network is intended for visiting lecturers, who receive the password from their host.
