The student card is a uniform library card for all members of the University of Ljubljana (UL), the Central Technical Library (CTK) and the National University Library (NUK), at no additional cost.
Regular, extraordinary and postgraduate students can therefore borrow books with a certified student card without any additional costs* from:
- all libraries of the University of Ljubljana,
- the National and University Library (NUK),
- the University of Ljubljana Central Technical Library (CTK).
In all cases, prior formal enrolment into each individual library is necessary in order to become a member and benefit from the possibility of using library services.
Students who are currently taking a break from studying and therefore do not have their student status can pay the membership fee in the library of their parent faculty. With a payment certificate, they can also borrow materials from other UL libraries (with the exception of NUK and CTK) for one year.
*Students enrolled in faculties that are members of the UL pay their membership fee upon entering their first year or a superior year.
