Special features:
The Forestry Library was established in 1948. Today it is a professional unit of the:
- University of Ljubljana, Biotehnical faculty, Department of Forestry and renewable forest resources = Univerza v Ljubljani, Biotehniska fakulteta - Oddelek za gozdarstvo in obnovljive vire, Vecna pot 83, 1000 Ljubljana;
- Slovenian Forestry Institute = Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije, Vecna pot 2, 1000 Ljubljana;
- Slovenian Forest Service = Zavod za gozdove Slovenije, Vecna pot 2, 1000 Ljubljana.
It is a special and academic library and the only information centre providing scientific and technical literature in the field of forestry in Slovenia. The Forestry Library is also the main repository of sources for the study of Slovenian forests and forestry history.
The library is an information service for all of our users. Exchange of information takes place between students, scientists and the library staff.
