Experimental field in Ljubljana
The Department of Agronomy in Ljubljana has an experimental field of over 10 hectares, where a large part of the practical teaching and training takes place, as well as an important part of the research work. Students become familiar with the soil, meadow and field vegetation, collections of agricultural and ornamental plants, learn about the most common diseases and pests of agricultural plants, and learn how to use agricultural machinery. In the orchard, cropland, horticulture, meadow, and rosary, students learn the practical implementation of agricultural tasks and monitor crops during the growing season. The field is divided into orchard, horticultural and agricultural areas.
