Opis
The Biotechnical Faculty is celebrating its 70th anniversary by organizing various events in cooperation with industry and society, as research in the field of biotechnical sciences and the dissemination of new knowledge are intended to foster the faster development of both the economy and society.
During the faculty’s existence, both areas have undergone significant changes: a new state was established, the country transitioned to a market economy, and experienced an economic crisis. These changes have influenced the content of the faculty’s research and educational programs. Through the development of new knowledge and skills and their transfer to industry and society, the faculty remains the center and foundation of biotechnical sciences in Slovenia.
Today, the Biotechnical Faculty is one of the largest members of the University of Ljubljana and is renowned for its social responsibility as well as its teaching and research excellence. Students and academic staff are actively involved in numerous decision-making and governance bodies of the University.
